Answer #1:
ps3 all the way they have better games in my opinion plus xbox if you want wifi you need to buy the adapter thats like $100 and it cost $50 for a year of xbox live ps3 is free for the internet plus its got blue ray i wish i woulda bought a ps3 instead of my xbox dont regret it like meAnswer #2:
well I have had both and I like the xbox way way better. The reason is I think blue ray is shit anyway and Its on the PS3. Also more of my friends play xbox.Answer #3:
Playstation 3 is a better overall value because the online play is free and has a built in wireless adapter. With the Xbox you need to pay for the online play and if your going to use wi-fi you have to buy a seperate wi-fi adapter which is 100$! On the plus side for the 360 it comes with a headset and the online is higher quality than the ps3. In terms of gameplay they pretty much are the same. So in the end, the 360 cost alot more than the ps3 and is a bigger overall investment.Edit* - Oh and regarding the red ring of death, i've had my 360 for a little over a year and never have got it. I believe the newer 360 models rarely get the red ring.

Hmm, I´m not sure what you´re getting at with the PS3 price being higher. FF13 is 59.99$ for both Xbox 360, and PS3. And remember that FF13 was SUPPOSED to be a PS3 exclusive, but Sony lost exclusive rights to it and now it is being ported to Xbox. That said, it may not run as smoothly on Xbox as it will on PS3.If you mean the price of the console, they are both the same price of 299.99$ USD (the cheaper version of the Xbox comes with no hard disk AFAIK...and xBox 360 hard disks run you about 150$ for a mere 120gb).
PS3 allows you to swap hard disks without being confined to overpriced proprietary disks. That was a big plus for me, because you can buy a 320gb laptop SATA drive for 40$.
Playstation doesn´t charge for online access, wheras Xbox has a monthly fee. That is another thing to consider.
So in the end, Xbox 360 is much more expensive than PS3. As for reliability, well, I don´t own an Xbox 360 so I can´t vouch for it, but I leave my PS3 slim running for weeks at a time and have had no problems with it. I think they are pretty well built.
